Competitive Strategy

Michael Porter is an intellectual who teaches at Harvard business school, this means this book has lots of long words; which in turn makes it difficult to read, so luckily it has lots of diagrams so the long words don’t seem to matter so much. Many see it as the “definitive text” in marketing strategy and Michael Porter is widely regarded as the mutts’ nuts. This book has pretty much everything you need to know about marketing strategy in it. It was written in the 80’s, so it’s pretty ancient but if you’re mega brainy you will probably like it. Even if you’re not mega brainy it is definitely worth a read or at least as a reference book to keep close at hand in case someone mega brainy asks you to do something.
